Silence as luxury

No TVs in the lobby, no canned music in the hallways. Wind and parrots are enough. We ask guests to keep voices down between 10 PM and 8 AM.

Host, not reception

Your host has been welcoming guests personally for years. He learns your itinerary, your allergies, and how you take your coffee. There's no standard check-in — there's a welcome conversation.

Rapa Nui is a protected island. Entry requires specific paperwork and the National Park has rules we all must follow. Here's the essentials — no fine print.

Documents

Chileans: current ID card. Foreigners: valid passport. Minors need a notarized authorization if traveling without both parents.

Rapa Nui National Park rules

  • An accredited local guide is mandatory at most sites (Anakena is the exception).
  • Do not touch the moai or the ahu platforms. Observe from the marked distance.
  • Respect perimeters and signage — stay on the designated trails.
  • Drones are prohibited inside the Park.
  • Bicycles may only ride on roads, never on trails.
  • Park hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Carry your trash out. What lands on the island stays on the island.
  • Bring closed shoes, swimwear and reef-safe sunscreen.

Everything you need to know.

Is airport transfer included?

Yes. We meet you at Mataveri with your name on a sign and a flower lei. Return transfer is also included — we coordinate timing the night before.

What if it rains the whole week?

Rapa Nui weather is unpredictable — it can pour for 30 minutes and then the sun comes out. We have umbrellas and ponchos in every room, a covered living room with books and games, and your host knows every indoor plan (museum, caves, market).

Is the wifi stable?

We have 80 Mbps wifi in lobby and rooms, but let's be honest — you're on an island 3,700 km from the mainland. It may drop for half an hour a day. If you need guaranteed connection for work, tell us and we'll find an alternative.

Cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 14 days before. Between 14 and 7 days, 50% refund. Less than 7 days, no refund — but for medical emergencies, we'll talk. There's always a way.

Do you accept children?

Yes, happily. Free crib and high chairs for breakfast. The Rangi suite is perfect for families. We only ask respect for the quiet hours — same as everyone.

Can we pay in Chilean pesos or only dollars?

CLP, USD, EUR and Visa/Mastercard. Exchange rate of booking day, no hidden fees. Bank transfer gets an additional 5% discount if paid direct.
